TeamViewer can be a free app that allows you to remotely connect with a PC or Mac. Check out our self-help guide to see how it works.
Have you ever been somewhere and desired to show a family group photo or retrieve a document, merely to realize that the file is over a home computer? The more connected our devices become, the harder they increase our need to access our information anywhere.
But while cellular devices increasingly outsell traditional computers, plenty of our most significant information remains stored on stationary home desktops or laptops, which don’t offer convenient access from just anywhere as a consequence of home firewalls. Even when you’re using a home network, requiring you to move to a specific device on the other hand of the house is usually annoying.
Software engineers have fallen up with a less arduous way to gain access from afar. Using simple software, you can observe and control an isolated computer on another device that you are currently using–even coming from a different computer network. All you typically need can be a working Internet connection for both devices.
Various methods and applications can enable this functionality for ones devices. In this guide, we’ll target TeamViewer, a common program which offers compatibility with Windows, Mac, and in many cases some smartphone os’s. Here’s understanding it.

The computer can be running listening software that waits for approved devices to get connected to it, understanding that can also connect with other computers you configure.

The second computer will be running listening software that waits for approved devices to get connected to it, and will also get connected to other computers you configure.
Remotely Connect to One Computer From the Other
With the program is installed at both sides, connecting on the remote computer (typically called thehost) through the computer/device your location currently located (typically the guest) needs to be easy.
1. Launch the application on the guest.
2. Enter your TeamViewer account login credentials, and join.

4. Your remote computer’s display will can be found in a window, just like if you were sitting directly before it. Use the keyboard/mouse/touchpad/touchscreen of the current device to have interaction with it when you normally would. The software will need your local input and send it in your remote computer, that can then send its display back in your current device in real-time. (Note: For security reasons, some keys and key combinations won’t go directly on your remote host, like Ctrl-Alt-Del for Windows. TeamViewer enables that you send these special keys and combinations through its software Actions menu.)
5. When you’re done accessing your remote computer, close of the question to end the session.
TeamViewer will typically work without the additional firewall configuration between devices on any computer network (and also between variations), so long as both are connected towards the Internet. And because it’s works with many different devices, that you can do neat stuff like control your Mac from Windows, your Windows PC from the Mac, as well as your computer through your iOS/Android phone!
